The Diversity Gap

Client: Plywood
Services: Live Events, Logistics Management

Plywood, a community-focused organization, engaged Chroma to assist with a one-day seminar aimed at educating business leaders on creating diverse and inclusive workplaces.

As the primary sponsor of the event, Plywood enlisted Chroma's help to manage logistics and day-of activities. The discovery process focused on understanding the event's goals, target audience, and the need for a welcoming and organized environment.

The seminar provided a platform for business leaders to be challenged and educated on fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The goal was to create a seamless and welcoming atmosphere for attendees.

Chroma's role involved event logistics, including speaker liaison, vendor management, and food & beverage coordination. The initial project discovery revealed gaps in the original project plan, which Chroma effectively filled to ensure a smooth and impactful seminar.

Chroma successfully managed all day-of activities, creating an organized and welcoming environment for attendees. Success was measured by feedback from attendees regarding the overall experience and the event's content, which was recorded and released as an accompaniment to the book 'The Diversity Gap.'

This case study showcases Chroma's ability to facilitate meaningful events focused on diversity and inclusion, contributing to positive change in corporate America and providing leaders with actionable strategies for fostering diverse workplaces.
